Chris Simms $2.1 Million Bucs

Two days before Simms became a restricted free agent, he has agreed to a one year $2.1 million contract with Tampa Bay Buccaneers on March one. Simms was drafted by the Bucs in 2003 and he has won six of his 10 starts and led the team to an NFC South championship. He completed 191 of 313 passes for 2,035 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. After been injured and quite a few performances, Simms has performed better than expected recently and has a knack for late game heroics. In the late 2005 the Redskin game was his best performance of the year as Simms threw for 3 scores as the Buccaneers won 36-35 in a remarkable game. In the rematch against Carolina Simms had much more impressive performance and he led the Bucs to their first playoff berth since their Super Bowl victory. Due to his improved performance throughout the season he is expected to be competing with Brian Griese for the starting quarterback position in 2006. In a playoff game against Washington, Simms set team postseason records by completing 25 passes on 38 attempts. He started the last 10 games in the 2005 season after Brian Griese went down with a knee injury. A 25 years old quarterback for the Bucs and a son of former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms, he came a long way and sure it looks like he is going to do much more and take the Buccaneers to further glory.

Robert Guerin back again with Stars

William Robert Guerin comes back from the break. This professional hockey star had gone for a break and has returned back to practice a day early. He shows great eagerness to join back with a positive attitude, with a hope to be able to do much better this time.

William Robert Guerin is a professional ice hockey player in the right wing of NHL. He is currently playing with the Dallas Stars. According to the sources Guerin is not registering a good season statistically infact he has played his worst session in the last seven games including three goals in the last four. But this does not mean that he is a weak player or a bad player of the team. Guerin possesses commendable career, in 1995 he achieved the Stanley Cup with the New Jersey. His best session was 2000-01 where he registered 85 points.

His fans are of view that his will power, determination and hard work will surely take him to the highest level. On the same time there are a few people who say that his coming back would not have much effect on the public. But I should have positive attitude that every dark night has a bright morning, hence looking on the positive side of Guerin, I expect the best from him. Wishing him all the best and hoping to see positive results.

Garnett Anger management

On Sunday, Feb. 26, Minnesota forward Kevin Garnett was ejected for throwing the ball into the stands and accidentally hitting the fan in the third quarter of Minnesota’s victory over Memphis.’’ I just tossed it,’’ Garnett said ‘’I didn’t even look at where I tossed it. I was just so …..mad.” He was? Apparently he was upset by a previous call, he did not intend to throw the ball into the stands, and he was just trying to get a delay of game call. ‘’ By no means was I trying to hit a fan,’’ he said. Garnett was reacting in frustration after being called an offensive foul. Remember Artest and the mess that was. These players they have to control their frustration, however the Kevin Garnett incident on Sunday was clearly an accident and he apologized to the fan immediately after he was ejected. The fan was examined by the Medical personnel and appeared to be uninjured. The nine-time All-Star, Kevin Garnett was called for the foul while driving against Shane Battier on the baseline in the third quarter with Minnesota leading 64-61. Steve Garnett, a former league MVP had 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. He was replaced by Eddie Griffin in the lineup. He again checked in on the family to apologize before leaving the arena. Thought this incident is not as serious as Ron Artest incident, players should control themselves, these athletes are strong, and when unsuspected fan is hit with a ball thing can get really messy when fan is really injured, especially when notable players, such as Garnett are involved. As I said players should really control themselves.
