Lackey to be in the Angles for two more years

John Lackey the popular and one of the imminent players of the Angles has agreed to remain with the team for some more time. Lackey stated that he wants to be with the team for three more years and is hopeful to stay, as he has signed the contract of two-year extension. According to the sources John Lackey, had earlier agreed to a two year contract extension through 2008 that ensures him an additional earnings.

John has been a productive member of the pitching staff since his 2002 rookie season. Lackey was 14-5 with a 3.44 ERA in 33 starts last season. He was second to Johan Santana in the AL with 8.6 strikeouts per nine innings. Bill Stoneman, the general manager of Los Angeles stated that they are thrilled to reach this multiyear agreement with him. John has always remained the hero of the team who has achieved a number of titles. He has captivated the rookie honor like winning pitcher in Game7 of the Angels’ 2002 World Series Championship. Being truly inspired by his career and his performance I hope the best for his future and expect positive results for both the team and the league.
