THE ROSY PICTURE OF THE REDSKINS

This time, the Washington Redskins' opponents emerged out as the controversial team, and the drama that surrounded Terrell Owens failed to help the Philadelphia Eagles a bit. A cast of outstanding players led by Mike Sellers, Chris Cooley, Ryan Clark, Ladell Betts, Derrick Dockery, and LaVar Arrington helped the Redskins to a 17-10 victory Sunday night over the Philadelphia Eagles, giving the threat to the Eagles contention of the playoff race. The Redskins -- who are having their most harmonious season in years -- and the saga-plagued Eagles have suspended All-Pro receiver Owens on Saturday. Owens, suspension has indeed proved to be disadvantageous for the team. In truth, the Eagles don’t seem to miss Owens. McNabb played with several injuries, including a sports hernia and bruised rib. He was still agile, but he often found it hard to locate receivers against a defense that didn't have to worry about the run. He finished 22-for-35 for 304 yards.
