DAN DICKAU: NOW THE CELTICS ASSET


Dickau, a 6-0 guard was the 28th selection in the 2002 draft by Sacramento who averaged 3.7 points and 1.7 assists in his first season with Atlanta. The Boston Celtics acquired point guard Dan Dickau from the New Orleans Hornets on Friday in exchange for a second-round choice in 2006. He registered his finest season in 2004-05 while playing for Dallas and New Orleans, and achieving career-high's in almost every major statistical category. In 2003-04, his second season in the NBA, Dickau averaged 2.2 points per game in 43 appearances with Atlanta and Portland. As a senior at Gonzaga, he was named a First Team All-American by the AP, becoming the first player in school history to earn that distinction.
