RAFAEL PALMEIRO ACCUSED TEJADA BEFORE THE DISCRETIONARY PANEL

Rafael Palmeiro after returning from a 10-day suspension for infringing baseball's policy on performance-enhancing drug called stanozolol, imperatively named Tejada for giving him a substance that may have caused a positive test. To save Orioles from earning a bad reputation Orioles executive vice president Jim Beattie wasted no time in denying that Tejada supplied steroids to Palmeiro.

But the possibility can’t be completely ruled out that future Hall of Fame pitcher Roger Clemens for a pumped-up body and dramatic benefits might have opted to use steroids to win a big contract and help his "poverty-stricken family" and his improvement late in his career is a "classic sign" of steroid use.
