MOMENT TO ADMIRE....

MOMENT TO ADMIRE (JEFF BAGWEL): SEPTEMBER SENTIMENTS
After a hiatus of 5 months Jeff Bagwell became a conquering hero. The severe arthritis in his right shoulder took its toll, which forced him to spend his five months in infirmary. With limited range of motion, Jeff’s career was almost stuck on to back gear. Watching the game from the bench is kind of a slow killer for a professional well-established athlete, moreover, in Jeff’s case painful therapies added to his miseries. But on Friday night, in the Astros' first game against the Brewers team, Jeff, still a convalescent took a ball and fouled a pitch. Bagwell swing that hit a sinking liner over second base turned the crowd crazy. He truly looked like a knight when his Astros teammates mobbed him and bounced him like a bobblehead. His game-winning hit with two outs in the ninth was celebrated by the fans with fireworks and plenty of cheering. My two words of appreciation are “simply great.”
